This sweater feels wonderfully light and airy.  It's showing off a a lovely lace pattern around the bottom border and another around the sleeve edges. The very top is done in easy going garter stitch. It is just delightful to knit and to wear for sure in the fabulously soft hand dyed bamboo yarn.

Yes, I knitted mine in a black color! I hear you sighing right now.....It's not a flat black though, it has variations in tones and the end result is stunning!  Not to worry, we have 23 colors in total available in the knit kits, so choose the color that works best for you~

The top ranges in bust sizes from 36 to 50" with a build in positive ease of 8" to 14". Size 36" as worn by me shown in the pics measures 19" in length and hits me right at the upper hip bone.

The pattern is fully written, includes a how to video link and offers two lace charts.

You can make your sleeves longer if you prefer, the knit kits have enough yarn to accommodate for sizes 36/38/40", for these sizes 42/44/46/48/50" add another skein to your order, again only if you want your sleeves to be longer. See the Yarn link below.

The knit kit includes

  • Two skeins for all sizes of the luxurious Auxanometer yarn by Theodora's Pearls, a hand dyed, super soft Bamboo yarn in a fingering weight. 400 yards /100 grams a skein. Want longer sleeves? For sizes 42/44/46/48/50" grab an extra skein, see link below...
  • The printed pattern and emailed PDF file.
  • All packaged in a convenient project bag.

Notions needed

  • Two US size 8 (5 mm) circular needles, one 36" (91 cm) and one 16" (42 cm) in length.
  • Stitch markers, one to mark beginning of round for the sleeves and 6/7 to mark the stitch repeats.
  • Tapestry needle for finishing.

Gauge:  13 sts and 19 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch.

Techniques applied:  Knit flat, pick up stitches to join and knit in the round, lace knitting, binding off, weaving in ends, seaming the shoulders and sides of top, blocking for best results.

My furry friend Percy, photo bombed me looking like a giant here while I took pic of Topple sweater and yarn inspired lace up shoes. :)
