A brilliant mix of a hat/cowl combo that is definitely an attention getter.
It is a bit of a sampler, keeping you interested throughout the project. Knitted in the round and one size fits most with an adjustable Cord Stop closure. It also qualifies to be called a messy bun hat.
This can be a great stash buster project too…

Yarn:
One Layers yarn cake, available at www.yarnz2GO.com.

Alternatively use your leftover yarns, 20 yards of this and 20 yards of that in varying textures, colors and yarn weights, for a total of 200 yards.
Used here: Fingering, Sport, DK and Worsted weights.

US size 3 (3.25 mm) circular needle 16” (40 cm) in length
Stitch marker
Cord Stop closure (2)
Darning needle large

Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rows in Stockinette stitch, unblocked with sport weight yarn.

Level of Expertise: Easy

Techniques:
Knit, purl, knitting through back loop, knitting in the round, changing colors, long tail stretchy cast on, stretchy bind off, adding Cord Stop closure.
