Sian cowl pattern

Sian, a satisfying project to knit that also is a pretty pick me up, using up those leftover yarns of yours. A little bit of this and a little bit of that.

The cowl is worked in the round from the top down in various colors and yarn weights with pretty eyelets, plain knitting and a beautiful lace bottom border. Written pattern with lace chart. Measurements blocked: Neckline 34” circumference, Border circumference 64”, Height 12”.

Yarn

• A skein of Yarnology, 238 yards used here.
• Or use your stash yarn in 7 portions of 34 yards each of varying yarns ranging from fingering, sport, DK and worsted weights.

Notions needed

• US size 10 (6 mm) circular needle 16” (41 cm) in length.

• US size 11 (8 mm) circular needle 32” (81 cm) in  length.

• 1 Stitch marker

• Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge: 6 sts per inch and 12 rows in 2” with size 10 needle in Stockinette stitch in spot weight yarn.

Techniques used: Knitting in the round, eyelets, lace knitting, changing colors and yarn weights, stretchy bind off.
