The all new Rikke cowl and matching hat or beanie if you like are both super quick and also colorful knits. Each one is created with just one of our new Spots cakes, a refreshingly soft and fluffy vegan yarn and it's washable. There are loads of little specks of colors and fibers added to each cake, adding a lively touch.
There are two different cables to knit to get the look. No worries though, as they are not difficult to tackle. The pattern is fully written for either project and there are two charts as well if you prefer to work from them. The ribbing is done with a stand out knitted through the back loop stitch for a bit more definition.
The cowl is knitted top down in a one size fits all and it measures 8.5"in height, 18" around the neck and 25" around the bottom edge.
The hat is knitted bottom up in two sizes, small and medium. Both have ample give around the ribbed edges. With a height of 9"/10" and 19"/ 21" around the bottom ribbing, each one can fit another smaller or larger size.

- Spots yarn cakes. 85% Acrylic, 14% Rayon from Bamboo, 1% Nylon, the softest fluffiest....1 Cake for the cowl and 1 cake for the hat, purchased separately. 3.5oz/ 100g, 97yds / 89m per cake in a #5 Bulky Weight. Machine wash cold. Lay Flat to Dry.

Notions
- US size 10 (6 mm) circular needles for both knits, 16" (42 cm) in lengths.
- 4 Stitch markers, one being different to mark beginning of rounds.
- Cable needle.
- Tapestry needle for finishing.
Gauge: 10 sts and 16 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch, knit loosely or go up a needle size if you knit tightly.
Techniques applied: Knitting and purling in the round, cable knitting (see abbreviations on page 1 for help), increasing, stretchy bind off for the cowl (instructions given), the hat gets decreased and remaining stitches get cinched together with tapestry needle.
