The fun to knit and really colorful all new Patches scarf and matching cowl are both knitted from one knit kit which include our fabulous Lustrous skeins and Spots cake.
They are both "patched together", and the really exciting thing here is that, whichever way you wear them, different color blocks pop up, therefore they both are pretty darn exciting accessories~
Knit 3 squares for the cowl and 10 for the scarf in easy in stockinette and garter stitch. Knit whenever you have a little time on your hands, they do grow fast. Once finished, an added garter stitch border in the heavier yarn creates the rich contrasting detail which then gets connected with a crochet hook to the next square....
The scarf, slightly blocked measures 110" in length and 7" in width. The cowl measures 21" by 7". The instructions for both are fully written.
The knit kits include
- Three Lustrous skeins in a self striping slightly shiny sport weight. 380 yards/100 grams each in 3 contrasting color combos.
- One Spots cake in bulky weight. 97 yards/100 grams in a super soft and fluffy blend of Acrylic, Rayon from bamboo and Nylon.
- The printed pattern and emailed PDF file.
- All packaged in a convenient project bag.
Notions
- US size 8 (5mm) needle, either straight or circular (your preference).
- Crochet hook size I (5.5 mm) for finishing.
Gauge Â
- Squares knitted with the Lustrous yarn, 16 sts and 19 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch.
- Accents are knitted with the Spots yarn, 3.5sts and 5 rows in 1" of garter stitch.
Techniques:Â Â Knitting, purling, picking up stitches to be knitted in contrasting yarn, binding off, connecting squares with crochet hook (easy), blocking is recommended.
