The fun to knit, colorful Patches cowl is knitted with one of our fabulous variegated Lustrous skeins and a richly textured mini skein (included in the knit kit) as shown in the photos.

The individual three squares in the cowl get "patched together" with a contrasting mini skein of our Spots yarn. The cowl is knitted with the yarn held double throughout and finished with a crochet hook.
Knit 3 squares for the cowl in easy in stockinette and garter stitches. Knit whenever you have a little time on your hands, it grows pretty fast with the sport weight yarn held together. Once finished, an added garter stitch border in the heavier yarn creates the rich contrasting detail which then gets connected with a crochet hook to the next square. It's easy and fun~
The cowl measures 21" surround by 7" in height. The instructions are fully written.

The knit kits include
- A single Lustrous skein in a self striping slightly shiny sport weight. 380 yards/100 grams each held double throughout the knitting.
- A mini Spots skein for the seaming/accents in bulky weight. 6 yards in a super soft and fluffy blend of Acrylic, Rayon from bamboo and Nylon.
- The printed pattern and emailed PDF file for either choice.
- Each kit is packaged in a convenient project bag.
Notions
- US size 8 (5mm) needle, either straight or circular (your preference) for both projects.
- Crochet hook size I (5.5 mm) for finishing for either project.
Gauge
- Squares knitted with the Lustrous yarn, 16 sts and 19 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch.
- Accents are knitted with the Spots yarn, 3.5 sts and 5 rows in 1" of garter stitch.
Techniques: Knitting, purling, picking up stitches to be knitted in contrasting yarn, binding off, connecting squares with crochet hook (easy), blocking is recommended.
Frankly, I couldn't put either the scarf nor the cowl down, they were both really fun to knit!
