On a slant pattern

The On a slant shawl. Bias and straight knitting in a pleasing arrangement of colors and textures. There are garter stitches, eyelets, increases and decreases, a pretty lace section and even a fun tassel to add extra flair and fun. It makes for a very enjoyable knit.

The shape is unusual rounded at one end, with a tip on the other side.

The pattern is written, has a chart, a photo tutorial to make the optional tassel. A big thank you to you the wonderfully talented test knitters!

The blocked measurement are: Length 69”, Width 12.5”.
You can easily add more length in the middle Bias sections.

Y1- C1 to 7: Yarnology skein with 7 varying textures, yarn weights and colors in portions of 34 yards each. C1 sport, C2 sport, C3 DK, C4 worsted, C5 sport, C6 fingering, C7 sport.

Notions
US size 11 (8 mm) circular needle 32” (81 cm) in length.
3 stitch markers
Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing Scissors
For optional tassel:
A 5” template (card board or gauge tool)

Gauge:
13 sts and 13 rows 4” of garter stitch in sport weight, blocked.

Techniques used:
Knitting flat, bias knitting, increasing, decreasing, lace knitting, eyelets, color and texture changes.
