An interesting knit, a collar...
This is one of those hard to call what it is knits but nevertheless, it's fabulous. Call it a necklet, a collar, a necklace, call it a knitted doodah. Now this would make for a great gift and with Mothers Day being just around the corner. Hint, hint....
Knitted in the round in two contrasting colors of our wonderful organic cotton yarn, so it feels pretty wonderful too!
The pattern is fully written and includes a how to video link for the I-cord bind off.
The knit kits include
- Organic cotton, 125 yards/50 grams per skein in a DK weight. 2 skeins in contrasting colors, shown here Lime and Periwinkle.
- The printed pattern and emailed PDF file.
- All packaged in a white organza bag.
Notions needed
- US size 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle 16" (41) cm in length.
- US size 4 (3.5 mm) double pointed needles.
- 3 Stitch markers, of which a different one will be the beginning of round marker.
- Tapestry needle for finishing.
Gauge: 17 sts and rows in 4" of garter stitch.
Techniques applied: Knitting in the round, color changes with yarn kept in back of work, decreasing, changing needles, I-cord bind off, weaving in ends. The body of the sample was blocked but not the I-cord.
