An interesting knit, a collar...
This is one of those hard to call what it is knits but nevertheless, it's fabulous. Call it a necklet, a collar, a necklace, call it a knitted doodah. One thing is for sure it looks great and it would make for a great gift idea and Mothers Day is just around the corner. Hint, hint....
Knitted in the round in blocks of three colors in our wonderful organic cotton yarn, so it feels pretty wonderful too ~ The mitered decreases add an interesting touch and enable you to wear it, show it off a few ways.
The pattern is fully written. The piece measures 4" in height, 23" around the neckline and 36" around the bottom edge.

- Organic cotton, 125 yards/50 grams per skein in a DK weight. 2 skeins in contrasting colors, shown here Soft Pink and Nougat.
- A mini skein with 7 yards in the third color shown here in Lime to create that extra bit of interest.
- The printed pattern and emailed PDF file.
- All packaged in a white organza bag.
Notions needed
- US size 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle 16" (41 cm) in length.
- US size 4 (3.5 mm) double pointed needles.
- 3 Stitch markers, of which a different one will be the beginning of round marker.
- Tapestry needle for finishing.
Gauge: 16 sts and 36 rows, counting 18 ridges in 4" of garter stitch.
Techniques applied: Knitting in the round, color changes with yarn kept in back of work throughout, decreasing, changing needles, I-cord bind off, weaving in ends and stitching a circle in the middle opening. The body of this sample was blocked but not the I-cord.
