There is nothing like keeping warm in the winter when wearing your knits, is there....
The all new Kriss Kross cowl and hat both show off a lovely crossed lace pattern and does just that, keeping you warm and comfy. Both projects are knitted in the round and work up really fast.
Check out the new colors in the Speckled cakes, either project takes just one cake to knit. If you have created the Blue skies cowl or beanie, then you know how incredibly soft this yarn is. The Blue skies beanie is my absolute favorite wear right now, as it actually keeps my ears warm~ So I had to create hat with this pretty Kriss Kross pattern too.....
The knit kits includes
- A single Speckled cake for either one of the projects in a bulky, incredibly soft Acrylic yarn that is totally washable. 108 yards/100 grams per cake with colorful little specs of colors and fibers added.
- The printed pattern and emailed PDF file.
- All packaged in a convenient project bag.
Notions needed
- For the cowl: US size 13 (9 mm) circular needle 16" (41 cm) in length. For the hat: US size 10 (6 mm) circular needle 16" (41 cm) in length.
- One stitch marker to mark beginning of rounds.
- Tapestry needle for finishing.
Gauge: Cowl: 8 sts and 12 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch. Hat: 8 sts and 14 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch.
Techniques applied: Knitting in the round, lace knitting, making stitches, decreasing stitches (hat), binding off (cowl), weaving in ends. Blocking is optional, I left both my samples unblocked for a more organic feel.
