This is the new Kirida shawl.
This beauty is knitted sideways, with two coordinating yarns in DK weight. Steady increasing in relaxing garter stitches, a beautiful lace middle and an easy staggered garter ridge section to decrease the shawl. The shape is a triangle with a bit of a rounded edges~
The pattern is written pattern with lace chart. The shawl was test knitted. A BIG thank you to all the testers!!
The overall length is 59” and the depth in middle is 23”.
Yarn
C1 - 1 Element skein, 220 yards in a DK weight with 3 colors and 3 individual strands of lace and fingering weights blended together.
C2 - 2 skeins of Bambon, DK weight, 154 yards/100 grams a skein in a bamboo/cotton. About 220 yards used.
Notions
US 10 (6 mm) circular needle 36” (91 cm) in length.
4 Stitch markers
Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing
Gauge
With Element yarn in Part 1:
13 sts and 24 rows in 4” (10 cm) of Garter stitch.
