Another very cool knit was just added to the Idris collection and it is one to add to your shawl line up for sure~
The new Idris shawl is knitted with the same stitch pattern as the matching Idris sweater, poncho and hat, only the shawl has an awesome bulky Chenille yarn added to the bottom border. And just how special is this Chartreuse color? Of course there are many other color wonderful combos to choose from, just look at the line up... Enjoy the fan like stitch pattern, it is pure fun to create and this shawl grows quickly.
The knitting is really easy and quick too and the pattern is entirely written, so no charts to deal with. The unblocked size measures 69" along the bottom edge and it is 22" deep.
The knit kits include
- Easy care DK yarn cakes, as the name suggests is a # 3-DK weight in a wonderfully soft washable acrylic yarn, so it's easy to take care of. 272 yards/100 grams a cake. Two cakes are needed and if you like to make yours a blanket size, you'll find extra cakes right HERE.
- A mini skein of a bulky Chenille, 20 yards.
- The printed pattern and emailed PDF file.
- All packaged in a convenient project bag.
Notions needed
- US size 10 (6 mm) circular needle 36" (91 cm) in length.
- Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing.
Gauge: 12 sts and 24 rounds in garter stitch, counting 12 ridges.
Techniques applied: Knitting and purling, increasing, binding off with two yarns held together, weaving in ends. Blocking is optional, the sample shown has not been blocked.
