After the Idris sweater, I created the new "Idris poncho" and you just have to have a cute topper to go with both, so here is the Idris hat/beanie to go with both and the hat kits come with a faux fur Pom~
You can knit two hats/beanies with a single skein of our Easy care DK cakes. The pattern is for children, young adults and adults. The pom just makes this simple hat stand out just a bit more and adds personality. It can be attached with a button and elastic band which are included in the kits.
The pattern is entirely written for head circumferences of 16/18/20/22".
The knit kit includes
- A single Easy care DK cake. A # 3 - DK weight, 272 yards/100 grams per cake in the softest machine washable acrylic yarn, ready to go the moment it arrives.
- The soft Faux fur Pom with an elastic band gets attached to button, included.
- The printed pattern and emailed PDF file.
- All packaged in a convenient project bag.
Notions needed
- US size 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle 16" (42 cm) in length.
- A stitch marker.
- Tapestry needle for finishing.
Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch.
Techniques applied: Knitting and purling in the round, decreasing, picking up stitches with tapestry needle and matching yarn, cinching the crown stitches together and securing on the inside of hat. Adding a pom is optional, easy to do also with tapestry needle and in my opinion a must add on.
