Hot lips colors for the summer...
This shawl with highlights of hot fuchsia colors is knitted with our wound to order Quint skeins. Five color, texture and weight changes in super lightweight yarns. The knitting is easy in this unusual shape, looks kind of like a kite when it lays flat. The final touch is a fun tassel.Â
The pattern is fully written and includes a photo tutorial to create the tassel. The blocked shawl measures 60" in length and 27" in middle height.Â
The knit kit includes
- Two skeins of Quint holding 180 yards in cottons, linens and rayon in lace and light fingering weights, some are greatly textured in thick and thin yarns.
- The printed pattern and emailed PDF files.
- All packaged in a convenient project bag.
Notions needed
- US size 10.5 (6.5 mm) circular needle 36" (90 cm) in length. Now if you are a tight knitter you may want to go up a size to reach the proper dimensions.
- Tapestry needle for finishing.
- Tassel maker or 5.5" piece of cardboard.
- Scissors to give your tassel a "haircut".
Gauge:  sts and rows in 4" of garter stitch
Techniques applied:Â Knitting and purling, increasing, (color changes only if you don't knit yours with Quint skeins), decreasing, binding off, creating a tassel (photo tutorial included), weaving in ends and blocking for best results.
