The new Heart Crescent shawl is knitted top down in a comfortable crescent shape. What a pretty shawl for Valentines Day or any other day really, as we all love hearts especially knitted ones and any day of the year.
Color changes and simple stranded knitting, a heart shaped lace motif, a seed stitch border with added button interests make for a lovely shawl to wear indeed.
The shawl measures over 90" in overall length along the bottom border and 19.5" in middle height.
The pattern is fully written and also offers a lace chart and a photo tutorial on how to add the buttons in a super quick and easy way.
The knit kits include
- C1 - Two skeins of Mercerized cotton, 125 yards in a sport weight yarn.
- C2 - One skein of Taut, a blend of 50/50 cotton/ acrylic. 125 yards in a sport weight yarn.
- C3 - Two skeins of our fabulous Organic cotton, 125 yards in a DK weight yarn.
- 23 Coconut buttons, each 0.75" (2 cm) in diameter featuring two button holes.

Notions needed
- US size 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle, 36" (91 cm) in length.
- 19 stitch markers.
- Tapestry needle for finishing and adding buttons.
Gauge: 15 sts and 24 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch with C1 yarn.
Techniques applied: Knitting, purling, color changes, stranded knitting, lace knitting, binding off with two strands of yarn held together and adding buttons to the bottom border.
