Feeling Blue
The shawl starts out with a sumptuous lace border. Next you pick up and knit stitches along the lace portion, followed by a relaxing stockinette stitch section that then moves on to a slight increase, after which you create a stunning yet simple lace panel growing from the middle out. This lace part reminds me of a big picture window. This shawl has a really good flow, is a pleasure to knit and can be styled so many ways.
Measurements: Unblocked 58” (147 cm) in length, at widest 31” (78 cm), at smallest 19” (48 cm).
Blocked: Total length 63” and 30.5” at it’s widest.
This shawl can easily be made larger by adding to the stockinette section in the middle. Your yarn requirements will change accordingly.
The yarn weight can also be changed, just adjust your needle size in which case the size of the shawl will of course change.
