Get the set or a single kit. The all new Faux for cloche or cowl kits are all vegan, so the soft fur around the edges is created with a faux fur yarn which looks and feels wonderfully fluffy and soft just like real fur would just without the pain involved. The slightly oversized cloche style hat is matching the cowl with the richly textured slipped stitch pattern. In case you are wondering about the pretty sweater I am wearing, it's called Idris.
Both projects are knitted in the round in simple knit, purl and slip stitches with the super soft DK yarn held double throughout. See the details in the kit info below. The patterns are both fully written.
The hat pattern gives you two sizes to knit, as shown here is the medium size but there is also a larger size to knit. Respectively measuring 23"/25" around the brim, 22"/23 around the middle and 8"/10" in height.
The cowl is a one size fits all measuring 20.5" in the middle, is 9" tall and 24" around the furry edges.
Knit kits include
- 1 (for single kit)or 2 (for the set) Easy care DK weight yarn cake(s) with 272 yards/100 grams each in a super soft washable Acrylic yarn.
- A mini skein in a super bulky faux fur yarn, 15 yards for either the cowl or hat. (The set includes 25 yards).
- The printed patterns (both for the set and single kits)and emailed PDF files.
- All packaged in a convenient project bag.
Notions needed
- US size 9 (5.5 mm) circular needle 16" (42 cm) in length, used for both projects.
- Optional double pointed needles for the hat decreases.
- A stitch marker to mark beginning of rounds.
- Tapestry needle for finishing.
Gauge: 13 sts and 22 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch with two DK weight yarns held together.
Techniques applied: Knitted and purled in the round, slipping stitches, decreasing, binding off, weaving in ends, adding a pom is optional.
