The repeating lace is nestled between a couple of garter stitches in the entirely sideways knitted Depths of the ocean shawl.

The pattern is easy to remember, is fully written and also offers a lace chart for your knitting pleasure.
The blocked size is 63" in length and 13" in width as shown. If you like your shawl to have more height, you can easily add a second lace repeat between the garter edge stitches. All you need is another Delicate skein to match (see the link below). Your shawl could be 21" deep instead of 13".

Notions needed
- US size 15 (10 mm) circular needle 29" (74 cm) in length
- Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing
Gauge: 12 sts and 10 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch.
Techniques applied: Knitting, purling, lace knitting, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends and blocking for best results. I use a steam iron, it works like a charm and quickly. Just be sure to check the setting.
