A vivid look and lively colors in the new and super easy to knit Clarissa shawl.

It grows quickly and with just a single Lofty skein which is loaded with color changes and great textures. The shawl sort of curves with the bottom edge being wider then the very top, though it isn't quite a crescent shape.

Knitted in relaxing garter stitches with a single increase  and several decrease sections to achieve the look. Check out the many styling options.

The shawl measures 8 feet along the bottom edge, 42" along the very top and it is 8" deep. The pattern is fully written.

Some of the photos show off a beautiful matching tunic, the "Colors are popping".

The knit kits include

  • A single Lofty skein with 7 changes of fabulous textures and colors ranging from lace, fingering and sport weights. 280 yards in total in a mix of cottons, linens, rayons and blends of them including a gorgeous boucle yarn.
  • The printed pattern and emailed PDF file.
  • All packaged in a convenient project bag.

Notions needed

  • US size 6 (4 mm) circular needle 32" (81 cm) in length.
  • Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge:  13 sts and 26 rows in 4", counting 13 ridges in 4" blocked.

Techniques applied: Knitting, increasing, decreasing, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends and definitely blocking. About blocking, I use a steam iron on the appropriate setting (less than cotton) and it works like a charm quickly.

Enjoy your pretty shawl!
