If you are like me, you love a good cup of coffee~
This cool new scarf is knitted with one of our single Lightly skeins, as shown here in the all new "Coffee and cream" color way. So the name for this one is definitely fitting. A relaxing garter stitch border frames a striking and repeating lace design throughout. It's an easy knit, really very enjoyable and the end result is just a perfect accessory for the summer. Wear it in an air conditioned room to feel comfy or simply accessorize your look of the day.
Your scarf grows quickly with just 25 sts on the needle, the color choices in the skeins are fabulous, whichever combo you choose.
Knitted loosely throughout and blocked, the scarf measures 84" in length and 6" in width.
The pattern is fully written and also offers a lace chart.
The knit kits include
- A single Lightly skein, specially arranged with 7 color and texture changes. 238 yards per skein in fingering and lace weights. All cottons, linens, bamboos and combos thereof. Super light weight and perfect for the summer and vegans like me. Only two ends to weave in. :)
- The printed pattern and emailed PDF file.
- All packaged in a convenient project bag.
Notions needed
- Us size 6 (4 mm) needle
- 2 Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle or crochet hook for finishing
Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rows in 4" of stockinette stitch.
Techniques applied: Knitting, purling, lace knitting, binding off, weaving in ends and blocking for best results. I used my steam iron to block, it gets done quickly and works well for the Lightly skeins, as there is no wool in sight....
Enjoy your fun summer scarf!
The sweater I am wearing in the photos with the scarf is called Zhenia
