The color play here is fun too, as you hold two yarns together throughout, one is a cozy soft chunky weight in a single color and the other is our new self striping sock yarn cake adding lots of highlights and color changes. The stitch pattern looks intricate but it really is easy to manage, even for a beginner.
The unblocked wrap measures 33" in length and 7.5" in width as shown here, though you could make it longer turning it into a long scarf. You'll find the yarns right HERE.
The pattern is fully written and it also offers a chart.
The knit kits include
- One of our new Easy care Chunky weight yarn cake, 130 yards/100 grams each in a super soft acrylic yarn which is machine washable, you can use the dryer for about 10 minutes and then lay flat to dry.
- One of the Sokky yarn cakes, a fingering weight with 234 yards/50 grams each in a 90% acrylic and 10% PBT giving the yarn elasticity. It's machine wash and dry, so easy to take care of.
- One of the "Porcelain shawl pins" is also included in the kit.
- The printed pattern and emailed PDF file.
- All conveniently packed in a project bag.
Notions needed
- US size 13 (9 mm) either straight or circular, I used a 16" (42 cm) long circular needle.
- Tapestry needle for finishing.
Gauge: 12 sts and 14 rows worked in 4" of stitch pattern.
Techniques applied: Knitting and purling with two yarns held together, slipping yarn in front, binding off, weaving in ends. Blocking is optional, my sample was not blocked.
Enjoy the knit!
