This is just lovely....

This shawl and the colors remind me of when I lived in Sedona, AZ and my travels to Flagstaff, specifically an area were Birch trees in all shapes and sizes surrounded me. What a great memory~

So when I got the fabulous Auxanometer yarns in, I knitted this triangular shawl from the top down with three very special yarns to me, the hand dyed luxurious bamboo and a linen/viscose blend and a lovely cotton yarn. The drape and feel is absolutely fabulous!

There are color changes, two lovely lace patterns, a small cabled interest and a pretty dramatic two color border. I believe the soft palette and the two color bottom border is what makes me think of Birch trees.

The pattern is fully written and also offers two charts.

The shawl measures 80" in length along the top edge and 21" in middle height.
