Stalks and leaves. Just how pretty is this cowl?

It also feels super cozy and soft, knitted with the all new Mushy yarn and yes, that is the name of it as it feels unbelievably mushy.  And how about those colors...

The cowl is knitted from the bottom up, in the round.  The first few rounds are knitted through the back loop to give a bit more detail at the bottom edge, then you continue to knit regularly. Add an easy two color stranded stalks and leave pattern and the top edge is done with an I-cord bind off. Fabulous!

Wear your soft cowl upside down or right side up~

The pattern is fully written and also offers a chart and a how to video link.                                                     

The blocked size: 21" in diameter and 10" in height.

The knit kits include:

  • 1 full skein of Mushy, 120 yards/57 grams per skein. Worsted weight achieve with with Darlon and a new Poly blend yarn hand wound together for and out of this world soft feel.

Notions used:

  • US size 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle 16" (41 cm) in length.
  • 3 Stitch markers
  • Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing

Gauge: 13 sts and 23 rows in 4" of Stockinette stitch, blocked.

Level of expertise: Advanced beginner

Techniques used:  Knitting in the round, knitting through the back loop, stranded knitting with two colors, I-cord bind off, weaving in ends and blocking.
