Stained Glass Tunic
The inspiration for this twirly number comes from my love of wearing tunics. I just love the flow of this one though, as it dances with each move you make and if you walk outside the wind catches and plays with it. Can you see it?
Knitted in the round, stranded knitting with yarn carried up in the back for minimal finishing. The pattern is written, charted and has a schematic as well. With a build in 3" positive ease for a good flow....
Designed for bust sizes 36"/38/40/42/44/46/48/50/52/54".
Included in knit kit:
Darlon, a sport weight smooth vegan yarn (100% Dralon), 4 (4/4/4) (4/5/5) (5/5/5) skeins.
Pima cotton, a fingering weight variegated, hand painted by Yarn Carnival. A partial skein more than enough for each size (between 100 and 130 yards). Notions: US size 7 (4.5 mm) 16” (40.6 cm) in length
US size 7 (4.5 mm) 29” (73.6 cm) in length
US size 10 (6 mm) 32” (81.3 mm) in length
6 stitch markers of which 1 should be distinguishable as beginning of round marker
Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows in 4” knitted in Stockinette stitch with smaller needle
One more cool thing is that you can make your gauge swatch by creating a headband to match your tunic.
Techniques: Knit, purl, increases, color changes, placing sections on hold, bind off, stretchy bind off.
