Fereday, the name is of Celtic origin and means traveling merchant.
This shawl has more of a structured feeling with its muted color scheme, the deeply embossed pattern in the cable section and the triangular stitch pattern. It has an elegant feel to it and when knitted in the yarn as shown, it gives you some great styling options as the fabric doesn’t collapse, which sort of makes the “collar” stand up.
Rectangular in shape, this shawl is knitted flat in two contrasting colors with a gorgeous cable pattern on one edge, double stranded ribbing on the other. There is also stranded knitting in the triangle pattern.
Size blocked: Length 55” and height 15”.
